Control Freak

My name is Christy and I am a control freak.

I can ponder back on my life and see how difficult I've made certain areas of it by trying to control it. Because of my life experiences, I've learned not to trust anyone with my well being. You've heard the old expression, "If she wants something done right, she'll do it herself."

I've taken that expression to an extreme. If I'm truly honest with myself, it's because of one thing: FEAR. The one thing I've craved so desperately as an adult is PEACE. I'm led to this verse in the Bible...

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I want this year to be different. I am going to make a conscious effort to allow God to point my direction. Instead of thinking out the various directions and choosing one that I feel best suits the situation and force everyone in that direction....I'm going to sit back and wait awhile....and try very hard to trust.

I'm going to stop running from the lion.

Well, aren't we all?

And maybe you just choose to trust the wrong persons...?

I always put them to a test before starting to trust them and sadly, they always fail.. :(

I'm not saying that this is a good technique because I ended up being alone, but you know what, that's ok... At least I avoid being cheated anymore... :(

Happy New Year, princess! :)

TRUST is a foolish word to use on the internet! The written word is hard to erase! At your age you should be smart enough to Google or run a history check on anyone&everyone who you meet on the internet or in life! Playing dumb is an insult to all women, the very action you claim to be avoiding is exactly what you are creating! DUH PEOPLE,the written word lasts forever now! You could attract some husband-who lies to his wife, girlfriend and continues to hunt for "trusting" lonely souls, who are willing to post a "map" right to your heart!
Wisen up&Grow up Fairy tales are'nt real, but the BIGBAD WOLF is not just sitting at your local bar anymore-he's trolling the internet and dating sites looking for a date, chances are because he's to cheap to pay for a PRO! So when some idiot, unless it's your dad address's you as Princess,TRUST ME HE'S NO PRINCE!So take back your power and find out the REAL STORY you can easily do this for free by going to Reunion.com and follow the free links, check up on your PC,even if it means calling his STBXW,chances are she's at home with the "christmas card"family in a castle he has NO intention of letting go of his fairy tale!I hate to say it but 9 out of 10 times you'll find out you've attracted a toad with MANY WARTS,if you know what I mean. This Way you are assured of having a "Happy New Year"for the rest of your single life!

Just so I'm clear - that post was NOT about my love life people.

This statement is nothing new that I did not already know about you. I can see for the new year you are wanting to come out of the closet with this. Good for you.

Embrace the Storm
Cheers

Christy,
We are talking about facing your fears this weekend. Can you imagine how differently we all would live without fear? The Bible talks about how "perfect love removes fear", I have found that to be true. I, like you, am on this journey of being "fear free". I'm slowly getting there. It's amazing how, for me, what others think of me now pales into the background when the love of an Almighty Creator is allowed to flourish in my life. It really all comes down to our "perspective of God."
I believe in you!

I love that verse Christy and it is so true. I find when I just stop trying for force something to work or happen, I am at more peace when I just trust in God's guidance. Thanks for sharing!
