From Kindergarten to Highschool

Today is the first day of high school for my baby girl, Hannah. I can't believe how fast time flies. It seems only like yesterday that she was going to her first day of kindergarten. I was so afraid to leave her and stayed to take a photo of her doing everything in the class until finally her teacher asked me to leave. ; )

I love her so much. (no, not the kindergarten teacher) Please say a little prayer for her today. She's had a rough summer, but has shown such courage and strength the past months that I have great hope and am sure these four years will be good ones for her.

Intentional Living

At church this morning, our pastor taught about LIVING INTENTIONALLY and it really made me stop and think. His point was to intentionally "plan" all areas of your life and "who you are" instead of just 'wingin it.' It really makes sense. We create business plans for our businesses and budgets for our financial planning, but we never really create a guide of sorts for all parts of ME.

I no longer want to 'wing' me. I don't settle for less than excellence in my business and I'm going to start holding 'me' up to that standard.

With all this said, I'm going to put some thought into the ME FORECAST and am going to document my intentions.

What would we do without Paris

Paris Hilton offers a few "Simple" solutions to make the world a better place.

"I just want to make people aware of little things like recycling and cutting the plastic off a six-pack of coke," Paris told FOXNews.com.

uh...thanks Paris.

Photo Journey Extended

Ok - Hannah and I have proved to be MUCH lazier than Cricket and her daughter. We're still going to take 30 photos together of BEAUTY, but just not consecutively. What?!!!!

Day One

My friend, Cricket Walker, and her daughter decided to take one beautiful photo per day for 30 days and post them on her blog. Hannah and I looked through their photo journey last night and were inspired to do the same. So we're beginning our own journey in their honor. ; )

--

Day one is an easy one. My mom's birthday was yesterday - she's 60 years old now and without a doubt is beautiful. She is an inspiration to both Hannah and I in that she is probably the strongest woman I have ever met. She has battled rheumatoid arthritis for well over 20 years now and it's ravished her body. However, she refuses to let it have her smile. She still does what she wants to do without allowing the pain to predict what she can and cannot do. Both of us will always look to the wonderful woman that God blessed us with and KNOW how strong a woman can be.

I love you mom.

Dimples

What are they? I so wish I had those cute little dents in my cheeks...but what ARE THEY?

Wikipedia says they are "visible indentations of the skin, caused by underlying flesh...Dimples are genetically inherited and are a dominant trait [1]. Dimples on each cheek are a relatively common occurrence for people with dimples. A rarer form is the single dimple, which occurs on one side of the face only. Dimples themselves are actually caused by having shorter muscles."
So the single dimple is not as common and what the heck does "shorter muscles" mean? All I know if they are so cute and it just makes me want to squeeze those little cheeks. Come here Gio and let me squeeze your cheeks.
